The Parent Coaching Program

For Professionals and For Parents:
What is Coaching?

Coaching is the on-going relationship that focuses on clients taking action toward realization of their visions, goals or desires.

Coaching uses a process of inquiry and personal discovery to build the client's level of awareness and responsibility and provides the client with structure, support and feedback.

At the Institute for Children and Families, we realize that the stress that can result from dealing with children with attachment difficulties. We offer parent coaching as an additional support to assist parents in identifying areas where they are struggling -- whether it be providing stress reduction techniques, addressing life balance concerns or parent skill development.

Whatever parents choose to address with our coach on staff determines the agenda.
