Provide Psychotherapeutic Services

The Institute for Children and Families' primary activity is the provision of psychotherapeutic services to children, adolescents and adults whose lives have been impacted by early trauma and its related effects on attachment.
Psychotherapeutic services comprise a range of related activities including psychotherapy (for individuals, families and groups), assessment and evaluation, and developmental screening. Psychotherapeutic services are currently provided in ICF's offices by a staff of four affiliated therapists who work as independent contactors.

The Board of Directors selects all service providers after reviewing their credentials, work history and suitability to ICF's mission. Service providers are compensated at a rate representing no more than reasonable compensation for services performed, as determined by the Board of Directors. The psychotherapeutic staff may eventually grow to include several full-time employees. In all cases, individuals providing psychotherapeutic services on behalf of ICF are and will be appropriately trained and certified in their respective areas of specialization.

Provision of psychotherapeutic services furthers ICF's charitable purposes by improving the health and welfare of individuals, families and communities. This activity began upon the formation of ICF and will continue indefinitely. Provision of psychotherapeutic services will comprise approximately 60% of the ICF activities.
