Laura Wenrich Miller, MSW, LSW

Laura has worked in the social service field since 1998, first in a domestic violence and sexual assault center. She completed counselor/advocate training in domestic violence & sexual assault and worked with women and their children in the domestic violence shelter. Later, she taught prevention education in these subjects to children and adults. Laura has experience working with many diagnoses-ADHD, ODD, autism, bipolar, PTSD and RAD. Prior to joining the staff at ICF Laura was the attachment specialist at a local wrap around agency. While working at this agency, Laura developed a program for working with children having attachment issues and their families. Along with a colleague, Laura trained other county wrap around agencies in Pennsylvania. Now Laura offers in-house trainings at ICF for persons wanting to lean how to be a support for families parenting children having attachment difficulties. Laura is also a presenter at the National Association of Social Workers’ (NASW) Pennsylvania Chapter’s Annual Conference in 2006. Laura is a member of NASW and has been a licensed social worker since 2003.

Since 2002 she has been working in the mental health field with children and adults in various settings: Impatient, partial, in home therapy, and consultation.

Laura and her family reside in Lancaster County. Laura is an active member of her church, and she enjoying hiking in her spare time. Laura is trained in Theraplay® and hopes to complete her EMDR training by 2007. She is currently working to obtain the next level of social work licensing (LCSW).
